Wow , just took it for a ride , and those brakes are night and day compared to stock.The rotors are cadmium coated and cross drilled , and the pads are supposed to have 50% less powder build up then stock also.They also claimed that you should be able to stop almost 42 feet shorter at 80 miles an hour.I can tell the difference between these and with new stock brakes on the same vehicle as they were new when I got the Jeep , but I think they were cheap , I didn't like the ride with them even though I still have 60-65% on them.All I can say is for the 170 I spent on rotors and brakes , i am very happy with the performance for stopping.I had to try a high speed stop lol , just to see if their claims were true.
The CV and new bearings rode fine also , didn't seem to notice any improvements in ride or handling , but wasn't really expecting too as my bearings weren't shot , and only the boots were in bad shape , the axles hadn't toasted yet , but I think they were getting close to that point.
Looking forward to getting my Doug Thorley's and Hughes air-gap.The TB and injectors are sitting here waiting lol.The one thing I am wondering is why so small a pad in the back of the GC? You would think pad size would be the same front and back.Has anyone ever did an upgrade on the caliper pad without an axle change?
