Got everything torn down again minus the crank gear today. The sensor blade is definitely different (meaning a different position) than I saw on Lloyd's engine, but it doesn't appear to be loose. The crank sensor is pretty dirty, and I don't see any obvious damage, but not having another to compare it to it's hard to say a this point. Need to get a gear puller to get the crank gear off so I can see if the rear pins have sheared off or not. I was hoping to see something definitive today, but no such luck. Still a mystery at this point. Can't find a way to test the crank sensor in the FSM to ensure it is good or bad. Looks like the front crank seal is leaking slightly adding to the mess on the crank sensor. Might as well replace it while I've got it torn down this far.
