Carlos had a Cherokee bumper that I was going to buy from him, but I flaked because I knew I wouldn't be able to get around to modifying it for quite some time. Sorry, Carlos...
After messing up that deal, I found out that FJ60 ARB winch bumpers are hard to come by in the U.S. right now. In fact, the distributor for the West Coast was out with no foreseeable restock date. So, when I found one on sale, and in stock, at Iron Pig Offroad, I jumped on it.
Friday, I spent 6 hours cutting and grinding to get the 2" receiver tube that the PO welded TO the front bumper and frame off of the rig. On Saturday morning, I got the bull bar put on. I also received my new solenoid pack for my old school 8274 from Warn. Now, I just need to test the motor, get the winch cleaned and mounted, and I'll be ready to go. I'm going to run synthetic winch line, so I'll need to make sure the winch drum is nice and smooth.
The 33" X-Terrains should be mounted and balanced on Monday or Tuesday.
