Hey Nick! I txt'd you but never heard back. Didn't know if you were out of town or not. Don't know if tomorrow you're around but I plan on trying to put this thing in. I'll try to get ahold of you again. My new EVO Sprint phone has been acting up here.
Anyways... SO GOOD NEWS AND LOTS OF PICS... STARTING OVER AND WITH A TRANS WITH 83k on the ticker !!!
Damn this $hit sucks !!

Everything in the back of Lucky ready to go back down incase things got nasty and I wanted or got my money back. Everything to do a full Auto conversion.

So I go down there and I'm greeted by my good friends and they've found me the perfect setup. This beast. A 91 372-L but it looks like it came out of a 95-SR and it has 83k miles, verified and perfect!!!
Only issue is that transfer case has a scary amount of solenoids and crap on it and is NOT FOR ME!!!

So the only thing to do is one thing! DIVORCE THAT [censored] AND MATE IT TO A 4CYL TRANSFER CASE LIKE THIS ONE!!!

This is the 87 non lockup 372 that he pulled the bellhousing off of so I could use for the V6 setup. He was all like "Bro, I tearing apart this whole trans and loosing money just for you! What if someone wants this unit? Now I don't have anything for them"
I'm like "dude, no one has taken this thing in years, no one is going to, don't sweat it, they never die anyways"
So, after a few bolts on each unit here and there, a little wiggling... some RTV to seal... This is what we get...

A V6 372-L lockup trans matted to a 4cyl transfer case

Waiting for my buddy to come over and help me lift it out. Also he let me borrow (jeeze, now he tells me he has this f'ing thing) this auto trans adapter for your floor jack... this will make my life 100000000% easier.

And of course, how I look as I sit here...

Of course it has to happen near 100* heat but that's what beer if for!
OMG I hope 3rd time's a charm!!
