Band-aid fix is to crank the heck out of it. It builds pressure in the fuel system and finally fires up.

Might want to try cranking yours a good bit longer than usual and see if it gradually starts to chuff and fire and finally run.

I think that's yer fuel pressure regulator and the vacuum hose that's connected to it. Have you inspected that hose?
