These 235/75/15s really fill the wheel wells. I wasn't sure how I'd like the look.... or anything else - but after driving it, I prefer it.... a lot.
The Max now rides and handles more like a Chevrolet 2500 4WD suspension and it corners and handles better..... for some reason, it's even easier to steer at low speeds. The suspension seems to like the heavier tire and slightly wider stance. I can see much better in traffic and it's is easier for me to get in and out of it.
1st gear requires a little different throttle and clutch blend, but once it's moving, it pulls through the gears like a '60s 4 speed Impala or Galaxy 500. O/D is useable, but not really needed now - which allows acceleration in 4th gear at highway speeds. The 2.0L is a torquey rascal.
Fuel mileage may suffer a bit, but the engine and Weber carburetor really like 2nd, 3rd & 4th gears - it now gives long moaning pulls that sound like carbureted 4 speed small blocks of years gone by.

If I keep foolin' with it, I think I'll really like this li'l truck.
Now I need to replace the speedometer gear before I get in trouble.
