Did anyone get the np231 t-case to work on gen1 auto?

I have seen many posts about this mod, but have not found anyone that has finished it on the gen1 2.6 auto. If it has been done, does that mean that it would also work for an atlas? Twin stick and 4:1's sounds real good to me:)
