1. Is there a write up on performing a 22RE install with cross-over to fuel injection to a previously non fuel injected truck ? 2. What all will I need from the Fuel injected vehicle to perform the cross-over ? 3. Does the intake manifold (carburated) or exhaust manifold swap over to the 22RE ?, as I remember one does the other does not.
There are a few differences in EFI and Carb, as well as motor differences from pre-84 and the 85-95 R/RE's. If you want to use your exhaust on an EFI block, you'll have to find a 82-84 Celica to get the correct block. Otherwise, you'll be looking at an 85-95 block and need the exhaust manifold as well. Best way to do the conversion is to have a donor vehicle - and a 2wd will work as well, except for the difference in oil pan/pickup tube, but you can use your current one for that. If you want to keep the Carb, you'll need to find a pre-84 block for your intake to bolt on, otherwise find a 85-95 block and carb intake/exhaust manifold. Hope this helps, Todd
