cooling system flush; gurgling sound under dash

ok, so same 99 montero, heat did not work well, took a long time to warm up and did not get as hot as our two other monteros. here is what I did:

drained and flushed system numerous times, coolant was terrible. currently still running prestone cleaner in it (3-6 hours of driving and then will drain).....new factory mitsu thermostat on the way, new radiator cap as well. there is an aftermarket thermostat in it now, either it is stuck partially open or the aftermarket thermo doesn't play well with the rest of the system, takes longer than normal to reach operating temperature.

heater is working better now that I have flushed numerous times. I think I have it figured out and when I put the new thermostat in it, I think it will warm up quicker.

one small issue that I can't figure out:

when you rev engine from 1,000 rpms to 3,000 rpms, you hear a water rushing sound from under the dash probably where the heater core is located. it sounds like a gurgling sound. I am sure it is probably just some air in the system or something? how do I take care of that? I let it cool and opened radiator cap and topped off radiator several times after running it. overflow tank has plenty of reserve in it to suck back up when cooling. I used bleeder bolt when re-filling too. what did I do wrong and how can I fix that gurgling sound?
