ok to answer most of your ? sign up for the Kia on-line repair site in the sticky it is a free site, I have a 2001 dohc, I don't know if yours is a OBDll or a OBDl, your connector for it should be driver side right hand side of steering wheel if it's a USA, sign up for the site. after you do etc. give your model year etc, click shop and just look through it, it should answer ? for you. if yours is a OBDll you will need a scanner to clear but make sure you write down the codes if any and post them here we will then will be able to help better, the Sportages like to throw codes.
