Reinstalled the carb after adding some Edelbrock offroad spring loaded needles and seats, adjusting float levels, and blocking off the fuel bowl mixer in the carb. Ran the fuel line and filter, PCV, reinstalled the distributor, and ran the spark plug wires. The plug wire set I bought isnt going to work, it has straight ends instead of the 90 degree boots I need. Some of the wires are as tight as guitar strings, and some of the boots are touching the headers.
Had to remove the alternator. I was wiring it up, and the internal voltage regulator broke. New one is on the way.
After I get the right plug wires and the alternator reinstalled, I should be able to fire it up. Just run it for a minute since there is no coolant system hooked up. Once it runs, I'll start re-assembling the front clip and get the radiator and fan bolted in.
Still need to finish rebuilding the PS pump (its dissasembled on the bendch right now) and get some custom lines made up using the toy PS box connectors on one end, and the stock chevy pump connectors on the other.
