So is Duffy not providing a new shaft anymore? I'm pretty sure my kit came with a new shaft with detents in the correct spots. Maybe not, it's been a while.

Correct. I could have 'sloted' the support but that was more trouble than it was worth.

Duffy still provides the shortened shaft. The detents that I eliminated are in the sector (shift) mechanism. That part Duffy's never supplied in the kits. I'll have to snap some pics and post 'em. Kinda hard to explain without a visual.

I think I remember you writing that you bought your kit from a third party, correct? You probably ended up with a sector modified by the guy that sold you the kit.
