I know what you are sayng Curtis. I have a friend with a C4 Vette and he paid something less than $1k per seat and was happy.
I meant it more in the context of how I love to try taking on things like that. And the more it cost to buy, the more I am inclided to try.
I also can sew a little. Used to make kites in an ealier life. Also had my Grandfather who did the seats on his '32 Stutz Bearcat. So it's kind of in the blood if you will.
DD, again, they do look nice. In fact, they are very much what I have thought about trying to do on my SWB, the way the inner panels are a different color.
One thing I want to include, if I ever do, is to get the Paj-Cat that MisterBishi has on the <<Vic 4x4 Club>> logo. It is pretty much the same as the Paj spare tire cover's cat. Putting that on the upper center panel of the seatback would look tre-cool, IMO.
