Took the manifolds to the machine shop and put them in the rotisserie shot peen cabinet and blasted them with cast iron media for a half hour - they came out looking pretty good:
 then ran them on the table belt sander to resurface the flanges:
 The shot peening really toughened the cast iron - sanding them with the aluminum oxide belt took a little longer than usual. This weekend I'll finish cleaning them - port and paint them.
While I was at the shop, I got lessons in crankshaft grinding/polishing and outboard engine cylinder boring.... danged interesting machines and talented people.
