I now have both exhaust manifolds - and they're a minor mess... at least there's only one stud to remove:
I kept a couple of slabs of granite countertop scraps that were left over from a kitchen remodel - very good for checking flange surfaces - these manifolds rock like a cradle:
I've seen worse, but these will go to the machine shop tomorrow for flange milling and sandblasting..... then I'll do a little port work on them. Since there are no passenger side heat shields available from the dealer network, I'll paint these with hi-temp paint so they won't rust and look so yucky.
