I've looked just about everywhere for a 35mm socket and no one seems to have one. I've tried Sears, Home Depot, Lowe's, and Autozone. I haven't tried PepBoys, but I'd imagine their selection would be similar to Autozone's. Unfortunately, there isn't an SAE equivalent.
Thanks.

Won't 1 3/16" fit? Try NAPA, Sears tool catalog, a real auto parts store (a local one instead of the big chains). Also, Pep Boys can special order almost anything and get it the next day. What's it for?

Mr. Google to the rescue.
Their main page.
$5.55 sounds like a very good deal. Of course the Craftsman quality won't be there, but how often are you going to use this?

I got mine from Checker Auto Parts. I couldn't find it anywhere else either.
Looks like their web site with an on-line store is at http://www.partsamerica.com/default.asp Then I did a search for "35 mm socket". It's a Powerbuilt brand socket. It's listed under 1/2" drive metric sockets as: Metric Standard Socket: 35MM 12 Point; 1/2" Drive, part #642027 $8.99
Looks like Corey's link is also a Powerbuilt brand socket, but is cheaper. [ September 30, 2002, 12:38 PM: Message edited by: Jeff the marmot ]

Based on calculations, even a 1 3/8" socket would be a tad too small, since that would basically be 34.25mm. If you're really lucky, that might work but I wouldn't depend on it.
Craftsman doesn't make a 35mm socket. I e-mailed them a while back to tell them of the need, but I got no response. Jeff

Thanks guys, it turns out PepBoys has a 35mm 1/2" drive 6-point socket in stock. I'm gonna run down there after work.
As an aside, my ATS a-arms came in today, so now I have those to install in addition to the CB spacers, and I also have to pull the front diff and axles. Too bad I can't just click my mouse button and have the parts installed like in 4x4Evolution

Strange, the metric to inch conversion program I used here says 35mm = 1.377", which is plenty close to 1.375" which is equal to 1 3/8" (which is what I meant to type) ![[Confused]](images/icons/confused.gif) [ October 01, 2002, 07:24 AM: Message edited by: fourwd1 ]

Yup, then convert backwards from 1.375 * 25.4 = 34.9 mm. So I guess I mis-entered it in the calculator yesterday. So a 1 3/8" would be close enough to work.
