got an '86 that needed slave cylinder, but replaced it and realized there was no pressure forward against it from teh clutch fork. Thought maybe it was possible for pressure plate to be screwed up, so i replaced that and teh clutch while i was in there since it was worn as well. Got the tranny and everything back up on it but still no pressure against the slave cylinder from the clutch fork so i pretty much have no clutch pressure. What else could it be in there?

would the master cylinder affect the clutch fork? It pretty much seems like the fork is just in a free state. I can hold it forward where it is supposed to be and someone pushing the cluth can feel a little more resistance(im guessing this is bc the slave cylinder is actually pushing against something).

If the seals are bad on the clucth master cylinder, it can introduce air in the upper parts of the hydraulics. This will cause the pedal to have a very low resistance, and the clutch fork will not engage.
try bleeding the crap out of the clutch system first, then move on to replacement of the clutch master... Simple first, then hard stuff later.

The seals are all fine down the lilnes...the clutch fork is only connected to the throw out bearing and then to the tranny....it moves freely which is teh problem...it needs to be held forward(towards the engine) to compress the slavfe cylinder...the system all works properl;y except the pressure from inside teh tranny somewhere holding the clutch fork forward pressuring the slave cylinder...im wondering if possibly the pressure plate flatened out some when i put it in if i over tourqued it or if mayb eht eclutch fork is jsut bent...thanks for the help so far, but i think all that stuff youve mentioned is fine...i jsut may not have stated my situation clear enough...send anymore ideas if anyone has any

Clips fell off the fork... Now it does not engage the throwout bearing?
Pull the fork boot of, and shine a light inside to see if it is still connected...

ive pulled the whole damn thing out cus everythign was still attached....i may have the clip on backwards tho bc mine has the 1 c clip that goes around the it to hold on either sides as opposed to the 2 clips/...should the clip hold the bearing on tight so it cant really m ove at all? Or should it allow the bearing to kinda pivot? with it allowing movement it feels like the clip is very loose...
