stock intake hedman header???

just got my hands on a '76 258 rebuild with stock intake webber carb and stock exhuast manifold, well i ordered the header and without thinking forgot about the EGR valve
well it ain't got one but it does have that old style butterfly valve thing i forgot what its called anywho i haven't worked much with 258's mainly with small blocks and big block mopars but never had to deal with this the question is can i still use the stock intake manifold with a hedman header or do i need a new intake?? i belive the header comes with a plate to cover that bottom of the intake where it bolts to the exhuast manifold right?? can anyone help me with this

Looking into my minds eye, I cannot "see" what would be inoperable about using a simple header. I am pretty sure it will bolt-up right where the manifold was.
