List of Parts suppliers
      #1267149 - 07/20/12 10:57 AM

Hi Folks

I am emailing around for parts for the 200,000 service on my Paj and realised I really don't have a grasp of Canadian suppliers of (Paj specific ) parts.

I order everything from Milners typically but I think I might get a better deal on things like a rebuilt water pump from a Canadian shop.

So , anyways, Are there names of parts suppliers (Assumed in BC and Alta) that we in the nether reaches of Canada (Ont) should know of?

Thanx

Well that was really a no brainer...

I contacted 2 Canadian parts suppliers I found by Google and Milner offroad in the UK.

Milner is going to supply all parts (Water pump, timing belt kit, swaybar bushings, Cam and crank seals, rear axle seals, Turbo return line gasket and clip) for _less_ that the one of the 2 Canadian suppliers (that bothered to reply) was quoting me for just the timing belt rebuild kit.

Shipping was $60 by FedEx from the UK while the Canadian sellers did not mention method of transport, nor the cost but did say it would take 2 weeks.

This will be my 4th order from Milner, the second time I have asked for quotes from Canadian suppliers, with similar results.

Not sure if this is the norm and why I posted this thread in the first place...

I'm just as guilty only popping in every 5 or 6 months to see what is up..

As a side note Rockauto.com has Gen 1 and Gen 2 parts. Part of my rebuilt (Shocks and balljoints) I ordered from there at good prices.
