95 SR Oxygen sensor looking unconnected connector
      #1266934 - 07/16/12 10:33 AM

I have this connector very similar to an oxygen sensor connector (4 wire) under the battery tray that isn't connected to anything. Looks like a pre cat oxygen sensor but this 95 sr has one sensor only which I think is a federal spec emission vehicle type.

Anyone know this connector?

Pics? It might be a smog or diagnostic connector.

You can register a non-Cali spec in CA? That seems out of their character. My 95 has CA emmissions, and the 00 does not. I'll see if I can trace the DS pre-cat wire on the 95 back to the same on the 00's harness. If I remember...

Shocks are replaced but vehicle did not have adj shocks before nor does it has the selector switch. It is located between driver headlight and battery tray. It is possible that it is mounted on metal part of battery tray. I don't know how to attach a pic of location and plug itself but it looks just like the oxygen sensor connector.

The wire colors I found are identical to what you report, except one is red/green instead of red/blue, or vice versa, and would be in that location. Mitsu is notorious for using the same wiring harness and just leaving floppers for uninstalled options. Look and see if you have a similar conntector on the dside and/or rear wheels that's unconnected...

I assume that everything is working?
The 92-95 fsm does not have wiring harness diagrams with connector locations like the earlier models. The connectors are still numbered to correlate to the harness diagrams, but all you get is the wiring schematic. There are only a limited number of connector types used in mitsu's. A 4 wire is usually the same wherever used, except exposed locations tend to use weatherpaks...

Pass side and rears does not have expose connectors. My colors may be slightly different due to the fact that I'm color deficient.

I'd download the 92-95 factory service manual and go thru the wiring diagrams in vol2, looking at 4 pin connectors to see what matches up. I went as far as the adjustable shock diagram.
