      #1263535 - 05/02/12 06:17 PM

Hello,
I've been having some trouble finding an honest mechanic, does anyone have suggestions for the Sacramento area? Thanks

I would suggest that most mechanics are honest.

Perhaps, you expect too much.

Perhaps you should have all information before passing judgement. Some people don't have positive experiences everywhere they go throughout there life. Simply put, I had a good mechanic, bad economy put him out of business, last two I tried ended badly, one is now going through legal channels by the many people he was cheating. So I ask again, from someone in my area, does anyone know of a good mechanic I can take my truck?

Take a look at CarTalk.com and go over to the "Mechanix Files" section.
It's a list of customer reviewed mechanics that you can search by area (such as yours).

Should give you a good start.

I do most of my own work, but I do use once in a while, they are in Roseville:

John's Auto Care
201 Derek Place
Roseville, CA
916-791-2886

Talk to Vince and tell him OOP'S or David told you about them. I wheel with Vince and he is the service writer.

Thanks for the info Oops! I gave Vince a call, took the truck in and the next day had a call about what the issue was and what was needed to fix it. It's running, it's smogged adn it's home and it was done right. Thank goodness I didn't expect more than that. Thank you again, and I will definitely be going back to him.
