I dont know if im allowed to do this but since I haven't done anything but ask questions and given nothing back, check them out. I had to look up my raider as a montero in their catalog but their prices are killer. I got my belts for about $5 a piece, my front bearings for $8 inside and out per side, and my remanufactured steering pump for $120 minus the core. I have no affilitation at all with them but I have used them for a LONG time and they ship super fast (2-3 days) and they use USPS too so you can get parts on saturdays instead of having to wait all the way to Monday for the brown truck to show up.

Love that they take actual photos of every specific part, not just generic ones. Also very good customer service, even over email. I had a trans filter that got crushed during shipping. They refunded my money no questions asked and didn't even make me send back the old one. They also are speedy with refunds when you send back cores, but drawback is you do have to pay your own core return shipping.

Hey! I'm one of those people that work at a auto parts stores. I think I'm offended. Now I'm going to go and cry!!
Jk. I know what you mean. At our NAPA store, we all are somewhat knowledgeable, but the other parts stores don't. I always hate going in somewhere and telling them what you want or doing and getting the "deer in the headlights" look.

I like Rockauto but sometimes you have to factor in their shiping and then the good deal is not so good. service has been great. i have ordered alot of parts and collect those magnets on my fridge.
I do hate going to the parts stores and I know more than them. I know when I was looking for a part time job with some of the local parts stores I got passed over time after time when I knew more than many of their regular workers. go figure.

Yeah, I've had good luck with Rock Auto as well although I do prefer to buy from the local guy especially the local shops that ARE knowledgeable and fortunately I do have one locally.
The reality is, unless they're also on this forum, I doubt you'll find one who's as knowledgeable about our rigs as we are.
Oh and for the OP (theheep) don't forget to read the FAQ post at the top of the forum. Rock Auto is already noted there as a good source for parts.

I've used Rockauto alot. I have real knowledgable/helpful people at local NAPA and some "old" guys at Kragen, but you can't beat that Closeout parts list I get e mailed to me about 4 times a year and I'm on an extremely tight budget. I stock up on seals and stuff I know I'll eventually need. I've only gotten 1 Bad part. (an "improved" Jeep 4.0 exh. manifold). I couldn't get ahold of them to return it,,but that's my problem with the computer. The shipping can get you if your unaware that stuff comes from different dealers. The shipping rates are very fair, though and you'll still comeout ahead with savings. ( unlike Parts.com that rips you off charging ever nickle and dime on special packing charges they don't bother to do. It makes the price inflate equal to ordering from Korum, etc. , and there you get Servive. Sorry for rant, they really screwed me.)
