Pulled the trigger.......
      #1230171 - 12/11/10 07:47 PM

What should I do?

Disclaimer:
The Starion is actually quite fun to drive, I'm afraid spending too much time in it may change my mind about tearing it apart

Remove G54BT, replace with 4G63T. You'll need a different trans, but it will be SO worth it.

Really no sense in tearing up a decent Starion, heck, they're scarce enough.
This one looks like it has the SHP option...

True, could always flip it and make more cash to put towards a ratty eclipse... then pull the tail section off the proper 2WD trans, mate to TCase, and have a 4G63T raider!

I was wishing I lived just about anywhere else while looking for a parts car

Not sure about the SHP deal. I read something about looking at the number stamped into the rims. I was mostly concerned with the condition of the drivetrain.

The PO spent a good chunk having the motor rebuilt, but it definately has its issues. Its a world of difference being used to a carby. Good to feel that torque when the gauge moves into boost

I wish you wouldn't tear apart that pretty car... Hard to find in decent shape these days. Find yourself a Blazer and just do a 4.3 swap instead.
