Bradenton, Fl, USA (just south of Tampa) Took a stroll through a couple junkyards today to see if I could find a 4.88/4.90 6x5.5 rear end from a 4runner or montero...
I beleive they were all C4C, except MAYBE the gen2 at A&A I didn't look I have a 2.6 
A&A:
Gen2, green, 4.636 gears. I'd assume airlocker, couldn't find the switch, but the passenger rear wheelwell was all ripped apart inside (thats where the compressor is right?)
LKQ Bradenton:
4 montero sports some where 2wd some 4wd i don't know didn't look
-3 white, 1 dark blue
-one had 4.636 gears, 3 had 4.900s, BUT like I said before i only checked for 4.90 rears, if you need 4.90s for the front don't blame me if its 2wd when you get there 
1 gen2, green 4.272 gears
1 GEN3 2001, blue    C4C Can't beleive it...Does anyone know the Gen3 to Gen1 compatability??

they are right around the corner from each other, 5 minute drive, might aswell go take a gander at both yards
Anyone know what the GEN3 to GEN1 compatibility is?
Front brakes on a Gen1?
Rear brakes onto a Gen2 rear end?
Master/booster?
cool stuff I should grab?

Nahhhh nothing big.
I need:
The top glove compartment door.
Passenger side rear window button.
If reachable within hand distance every little in dash and shift indicator little bulbs. Those suckers burn and they are only available at the stealer.
If I only had the time to drive down there. I lived in Tampa on WestShore Blvd.

Heheh....I gots me lifetime axles in mine now from Oreily's. I would like both diffs....and the third row seat....OH WAIT!!!
you said you werent shippin anything big....LOLOL....I will get mine off car-part.com from some wrecker when I have money...thanks for the heads up though.

no parts from the diff...just wanting the WHOLE thing...including companion shafts on the rear just to have as spares....doubt I will ever need them but would like a front and rear sitting in my garage. They are close to a 100lbs each or so...so again, falls into the too big to ship category
