Keep in mind back spacing most greatly helps with the width of tires not the diameter. I have 34x9.5s on stock bs Alloys, but if I had some 15x8s with stock bs and 34x12.5s it wouldn't work more than likely. The diameter of both tires is 34", but its the width that makes the difference.

For that matter 10.5" wide tires will fit with stock back spacing on stock rims. With the wider rims any back spacing 4" and below should be more than enough. 3.75" will more than plenty with enough room to run 12.5s later on.

Let me know how those summit wheels work out, I have been thinking of a set myself.
The raider i recently bought has 32 x 11.50's on it with what looks like 15 x 12" jc whitney fake beadlock wheels.
The outer edge of the tire is just wide enough to scrub into the plastic bumper end in the front when steered just right. Tire doesn't seem to catch anywhere else when stuffed, and no probs in the rear.
Anyone know if a 15 8 , or a 15 x 10 wheel will allow 32x11.5's without scrubbing? They're Pro Comp tires with 1/2 inch of tread or so left so I'd like to make them work if possible.
THanks!

I use 15x8 pro comp rock crawler (looks exactly like cragar soft 8) with 3.75" backspacing. I've ran 31x10.5 tires with no rubbing ever, but my current 35x12.5 tires on those same wheels rubbed when turning before I put the 3" body lift on, then only the driver side rubbed on the inner fender well when turning right, now it doesn't rub at all, even when stuffed, thanks to a big hammer on the inner fender.

15x8s are the widest wheel you should run 11.5" wide tires on. Running them on 15x10"s or 15x12"s is asking to pop beads. You should be fine with the 32x11.5s mounted on 15x8s.

Good to hear - especially since the wheel FAQ shows a 15x8 needs a 3.25 backspace.

Can anyone vouce for the min and max backspace limits for a 15x7 and a 15x8 wheel?

Jim
