3.5 DOHC Torque Specs?
      #1151094 - 04/06/09 03:13 PM

I am replacing the crankshaft in my 96 Montero SR. I need all the fastner torque specs for the 3.5L DOHC engine. I have found them for the 3.0L engine, are they the same?

whats wrong with the old crank? how bad did the bearing spin?

connecting rod nut: 37-38 ft lbs.

main bearing girdle bolts: 55-61 ft-lbs

thr is a sequence for the main bolts. the picture is wrong though. 6g74s are 4 bolt mains.

Three of the bearings were spun and jammed on top of each other under the rod and cap. It mared up the crank and 3 connecting rods.

Any one know where I can buy connecting rods?

Here goes:

The "17" should obviously be "7".
