Did some more fine tuning and power is now up to 141kw at the wheels and 341nm of torque.

As far as fuel economy goes, we actually expect it to improve due to the increased torque and throttle response. Car is noticeable stronger and requires less throttle to have the same acceleration. BUt only time will tell on this.

If you don't boost TOO much then turbos and superchargers increase engine efficiency(no matter how much boost) and mileage(depends on amount of boost)...that is why they put tiny little turbos in cars such as the PT Loser and the turbo VW Bugs...they only push 2 lbs of boost.

Umm, the bugs have the same 1.8t as the golf gti... stock boost is 6psi...
