SNOWING here in New Orleans!!!
      #1131586 - 12/11/08 11:23 AM

There is about a FOOT of snow here in louisiana! Power is out at my apt., trees falling everywhere, and nobody knows how to drive in this. I have pulled two vehicles out of ditches. This is awesome! I'll post pictures later.

Thats wired, do you guys ever get snow???

Truck chains, sandbags, rocksalt and recovery kit are just sitting by my garage door anxiously awaiting snow wheeling.

We usually have 6 feet or more in the passes by Thanksgiving but so far nothing. Kind of puts a damper n the annual xmas tree run.

Mid 40's and not a cloud in sight.Hoping for snow this weekend. Temps are expected to drop to low 20's by friday.

That's crazy! Usually this is the only kind of "snow" I'd associate with Nawlins.

We only got significant snowfall once in the 4 years I lived in NC, about 4" worth and it crippled the triangle area. I got stuck in the Pittsburgh airport overnight because my connecting flight back to NC had been canceled. Pittsburgh had 18" of snow and was running fine, but 4" had shut down the Raleigh airport. No plows to deal with it, so they just wait for it to thaw, then it re-freezes overnight, that's when the carnage begins.

>>>*I looked at the predictions for us here locally. 70+ MPH winds first, then rain, then the temp drops to 10-12°.

The next week should be real fun, we are heading out early for up North. Got to be there for that house when the temps gets real low or we get to play with broken pipes.

So far all Fall not one day below freezing, that always means we get it all at once.....*EB

Yes I heard and I couldn't believe it! My brother's out there, he flys helicopters out to the oil rigs. Hopefully he'll get some good pics.
