Turkey Shoot Trail Run Nov. 28-30 Shaver Lake, CA (UPDATE: easy & moderate trail descriptions added)
      #1126116 - 11/09/08 02:12 PM

Looking for participants and ideas but I'd really like to do a November run in the Northern or Central CA region around Shaver Lake near Fresno.

It will be Turkey Day weekend from Friday-Sunday. Any takers?

I'd like to check out that region of the Sierra's and it will be south enough that hopefully it won't have too much snow.

I'd do a desert run but that would be too far away for a mere 2 days of wheeling .

Not sure if mine would be road ready by then - I'll stay tuned just in case.

Hope you can make it Pete.

Cool although I must say, a little birdie gave me a head's up on that <GRIN>.

I called Les but haven't heard back from him. Hopefully he hasn't already committed to doing something with the family.

I also called Carlos and he said he's not sure he can make it cause he'll be out of town visiting family and won't be flying home 'til Friday evening.

Hopefully a few more can make it.

That sounds cool! How about 'blossom'/Joanna?

Anyhow, I'll be reviewing the trails and will try and post the meet up points tonight as well as figure out which trails to run.

Plus I still want to check current weather/snow status in that area. Hopefully none but we'll see.

I've also left a voice message for my buddy Mark from the last run so hopefully he can make it.

I also just spoke with Russell. He's not sure he can make it because of possible other commitments.

I just sent a PM to BraneDead/Sean so hopefully he can also make it.

OK, just checked the 10 day forecast (I know it's not anywhere near accurate) and hopefully the mild weather pattern holds out for that weekend.
