Started my solid axle swap today...
      #1089632 - 04/06/08 01:12 AM

High pinion Dana 44 front, Ford 9 inch rear. Started pulling it apart today and had the whole rear end torn apart in about an hour or so. The weather was so nice though so we decided to take our fun cars out (EVO, Galant VR4)

Anyone want to buy stock 97 MS LS parts? I have a nice welded rear diff that has held up great $150 + shipping. You can swap it in and if you dont like it, swap it back to your open diff instead of screwing with yours. Also have stock axle shafts and all sorts of other *****, if you need anything let me know.

Sounds like fun, I'm doing the same swap on my Gen 1 this month. Take lots of pics and let me know if you run into any problems.

Looks like fun, My 85 Mighty Max is going into the shop in a few weeks for new axles front and rear. Adding a new high pinion 2008 Rubicon d44 with elocker locker and coilovers up front and a new high pinion 2008 Rubicon d44 with elocker and Alcan springs in the rear.

Your a little more motivated than I am. I am have a shop do mine next month while I am on a Cruise.

TJ rubicons are Air locked, JK Rubicon's are E locked. Just checked with the Rubi crowd I wheel with. As a side note, I'm thinking of getting a Rubicon Recovery Vehicle sticker made for my windshield just to piss them off.

All I did before was pull out the rear diff and weld it up. I remember someone on here saying they wanted my welded diff when I was done with it, but cant remember who.
