      #1036567 - 09/09/07 10:41 AM

Does anyone know if a pump from a 4d55 will push enough fuel for use on a 4d56. Of course they bolt right up but im not sure about the diffrence in fuel volume if any

Thanks

I have a 4D55T and had a spare injection pump I tore down for parts. However, I'm not sure if they are interchangeable. If your 4D56 injection pump is rebuildable, I'd recommend that you send it off to be rebuilt. You'll pay around $7-800 for a professional rebuild. I had this done with my leaky injection pump and it's been running great now for almost 2 years.

PM me if you want the name of the rebuilder. They are located in Forest Park, GA and do great work on turbos, injection pumps, injectors, diesel cylinder heads, etc. They should be able to order a viton rebuild kit from overseas or you can probably get one of our UK forum members or a POCUK member to get one for you.

it should be able to bolt on and you can just crank it up for more fuel.
