THIRD AND FINAL PHASE OF TRAVEL MANAGEMENT WORKSHOPS SCHEDULED

(SANTA FE, NM)— Over the next month, the Santa Fe National Forest will be hosting several public workshops on Travel Management (management of motor vehicle use on National Forest System Land). “This is the third and final phase of these types of meetings,” said Forest Supervisor Dan Jiron, “We encourage anyone who has an interest in vehicle use on National Forests to attend.”

Beginning August 7th, Forest Service staff will visit 9 communities to present a breakdown of public comments received to date. The public is urged to attend to discuss the results of other public meetings and input and to look at maps created through public and Forest Service resource specialists input. The results of these meetings will further contribute to the development of the Proposed Action, which is scheduled to be issued in October 2007.
