I was wondering if anyone has a lead on a diagram for the diff lock in my 79 cj 7 I have no clue. I am getting rady to install stuff on new frame I found one and will need all the info I can get.

So you are about a differential locker in your 1979 CJ7. Are you talking about the front diff or the rear diff? If one of your diffs has a locker in it, it isn't OEM -- it's aftermarket.
I don't know of any differential lockers for CJ7's that are vacuum operated. There are ARB Air Lockers that can be obtained for either front or rear differential. But those are air pressure activated, not vacuum activated.
You'll need to find out the brand name of the locker that's in there.

There is a factory turn knob in the glove box that says in case of emergency or wheel slippage or something like that it is original.

Are you sure that knob isn't used to engage the transfer case into 4WD, or to operate the front axle connect/disconnect, rather than to oeprate a locker?

you are probably correct I have no clue I know the 4wd works and pulls ok.
