Hello everyone! Lemme start off saying this board seems like a great place to learn some cool stuff! Anyways, Im picking up my first Tacoma today in a few hours and I couldnt be more psyched. I only managed to get a few hours of sleep last night becuase i couldnt stop thinking about it so forgive me if I seem exciteable right now Its a 98 Xtra Cab 2.7 5Spd with 69,xxx on the clock. Its pure good luck i ran into it when i Did, the dealer had gotten it in yesterday and was going to ship it out to auction but I said Aww hell no let me see that thing. He gave me a price before either of us had even looked at it, so at $7300 Im practically robbing this dude. Hopefully i can get some pics or sometihg up sometime soon. well thanks for listening to the rant hah, Cheers.

Welcome, that is some low mileage for that year. I have a 98 and have 161,000 and I think that is pretty good. Where in Maine are you from, I am in the Farmington area when I am not at school.

You'll love the 2.7L. PLenty of power and good gas mileage. My girlfriend and I both own Toyota trucks with this engine...solid motor.

There might be some runs this summer of a bunch of guys on TTORA so I will let you know. If you have some available land then it could be a place to go wheel, I usually run skidder trails and winter snowmobile trails. I am also a drummer if that is what your name represents, got a Tama that I bang on occasionally. Might see you around.
