Highly doubtful... There's nothing that's adjusted/unadjusted for the removal or reinstall.

I gave em' a call since I'm the third owner on my 97' and they're very, very helpful.. Not perfect, though..
I asked if they could speed along my Scion xB order, since it's been 7 weeks since I ordered my car.. The guy said he'd see what he could do..

If someone has a way to post it for download, I have the 18-page bulletin issued to the service shops. It gives instructions and also identifies which vehicles are elligible by VIN. According to the document(pdf), they are supposed to check and correct your alignment after the procedure... I'm thinking I may put in my new T-bars before taking it in and then let them take care of any alignment issues.

How big is the file? If it's <10mb, you could post it to a free file hosting web site like putfile.com or filegone.com.

I can host it... if it's small enough to email, send it to brianm at darladog dot com, if not and you have IM of some sort, just say to word. Otherwise I can set-up FTP access to my server

I called the 1-800 Toyota number on Sept. 8 to get my 1998 T100 into their owner's database. The fellow got my VIN and gave me a reference number, asked who the local dealer was, said letters about the recall would be sent in late Sept., and that most dealers would not have the new part yet.
I took my truck in on Sept. 15 because the front passenger seatbelt was jammed. Lo and behold, the recall part was in and they installed it. They had to order a new seatbelt, but said it was covered by a 10 year warranty and would be free to replace.

Here's the link to the info from Joel.... thanks. Obviously, it's an Adobe Acrobat file, so if you don't have that program you'll need to download it from here:

Feel free to pass this info arround as needed ~ I do have a good bit of bandwidth, but if someone has an issue just say the word and I can move it somewhere else.

This replaces the center "relay rod". I thought H20MAN had pictures of a broken pitman arm-(no longer posted). Are there any issues with the pitman arm too, or is my memory faulty?
I scheduled mine today at the dealer. The desk lady had to "check" with the service manager first, since my truck was lifted. He first declined to do the alignment, but later agreed to do the whole job. He says they won't do the recall work on trucks that have any part of the steering modified-as a result of a lift. In other words, the steering must have all stock parts.
