Has anyone fixed their intermittent wipers?
Mine have degraded to the point where they don't work anymore. The low and high speeds still work. The manual lists an alarm control module replacement for a fix. Has anyone sourced one of these?

hmmm, it would seem to me that this might also be the problem with my rear wiper - it takes forever to turn off and stops in a random position every time.
Now if I just understood elctronic components...
Off to the junkyard!

Let me tell you i found the fix for my 99 Rodeo on this very web site and i want to share it with you ...... There are a LOT of knowledgable friends on this forum.... Thank you all
The part was $188.93 + tax from my dealer in Rapid City. It is an alarm and relay control unit behind the glove box. Part # 8-97203-989-0. One connector, and is held in with a scew and bracket. It is pretty easy to replace, pull the glove box off and its up on the right wall with another control module.
Good luck If you need help with anything else let us know

That's good news and bad news. The good is that's exactly the problem I have, the bad is the $188 part. I was hoping it would be a $9.99 relay module.
Thanks for your help Glasspack.
Happy trails.

Try St. Charles Isuzu, they might be able to ease up that price a little.

THE GOOD NEWS IS . . .
If you know how to solder on a circuit board you can fix the problem for around $7. A replacement relay for the one on the alarm and relay control unit can be purchased from Mouser electronics for around $7 with shipping. Part 551-EQ1-2111S. Phone 800-346-6873.
$188 was too much for me also, so I did some circuit tracing and traced the problem down to a relay on the alarm and relay control unit circuit board. I could not find an exact replacement, so I pulled up the spec sheet and started hunting for a retail replacement relay with the same specs. Found the NEC relay at Mouser for $1.68 plus shipping, I bought two, just in case, since shipping was 3 to 4 times the price of the relay.
I removed the old relay, a Fujitsu "quiet power relay" I believe, and installed the NEC, which was just a standard sealed automotive relay. The NEC clicks when it works but it works great. I may have some before and after photos somewhere, if you are interested in attempting this repair let me know, I will hunt for them. I do remember the relay was towards the center on the circuit board next to the socket for plugging the board into the cable. Really was an easy fix, just took some patience and time working the 5 solder points on the old relay loose a little at a time. When I got the old relay off the board I heated up each individual solder hole one at a time and used a can of compressed air for cleaning circuit boards to blow the solder out of the holes so they would be clear for the new relay. The NEC relay is actually physically smaller than the old relay but has the same pin out. Like I said, my repair works great on my 2000 Amigo.
If you have already changed out your defective alarm and relay control unit, please let me know, I may want to buy it from you super cheap and make repairs so I can have some spares, cheap, for others that may need one of these units.

Nice work! I'm amazed you were able to find one with the right pin out.
However the Mouser part number is 551-EQ1-22111S.
I've sourced a Fujitsu and I'm going to try it when I get.
Thanks for the info!
