Nissan Aftermarket
      #467784 - 02/29/04 03:17 PM

Ok, let's try this again. Here's a list ofknown Nissan aftermarket providers (except custom shops):

Calmini Mfg: www.purenissan.com

Automotive Customizers: www.4x4parts.com

Spencer Low Racing (SLR): www.spencerlowracing.com

Shrockworks: www.shrockworks.com

There are a few shops that have done custom work on Nissans. Some of them are:

Avalanche Engineering: www.avalancheengineering.com

Poison Spyder Customs: www.spydercustoms.com

There are some in South America, Australia, Hawaii, and Iceland as well, however, I don't have the names or web addys to them. If you have anything to add pertaining to this thread, please do so. Thank You.

4Crawler Offroad makes Rock Sliders for the
Xterra, Pathfinder, and Frontier models. Also make skid plates for the Xterra ARB front bumpers along with other custom products.

Which I might add these look as good as they work. I've seen them take some beatings on the trails

YES, 4Crawler RocksliderZ are awesome... they've protected my 95 Pathfinder on many NorCal trails to include Wentworth Sprngs Trail to Ellis Creek and back, Rubicon Trail from Loon Lake to Spyder Lake and back, and Deer Valey Trail. 4Crawler RocksliderZ are built tough and have saved my rig from major damage numerous times...on one Wentworth Springs obstacle both RocksliderZ were skidding accross boulders with both front tires in the air!

Many thanks to Roger for building such great RocksliderZ!

Ok here's my company BlackPanther Armor
As of right now, I have skidplates for the R50 Pathfinders. I am working on skidplate protection for the 90-95 Pathy's and they should be completed this week. Then I will be looking at some other SUV's & Trucks to start on.

Cool. Is there anyone out there that has a Pre-Runner type winch bumper for Hardbodies, Pathfinders, and Xterras? There is a market for them, just not very many vocal people out there! I had to have mine custom built, and it doesn't remove easily! Other than it works great!

No I was thinking of making a Bull bar with a winch mount but thinking the BullBars would be around $400-$500 so not sure how many people out there would go that route.

Thinking of shipping costs and I just started to run out of time maybe in the future still debating.
Since I ripped most of my front bumper off last time I went trail seeking I am thinking of installing an ARB bumper with the winch mount, but I know where people are coming from they are expensive $1015 US.
I'm also thinking of making Rock sliders as the companies selling them are outragously expensive .
So in the future I will also offer them.

Parts needed for winch mount Pre-runner tube bumper:

2 or 3" Sch 40 galvanized pipe (Main bumper bar) (stronger than black pipe, cheaper than tube)

---or---

2 or 3" .125" wall, steel HREW or DOM tubing (HREW costs less, and is more than adequate. All tube weighs less than pipe.)

1.5" or 2" Galvanized pipe

---or---

1.5" or 2" HREW or DOM .125 wall steel tube (upper hoop)

3/8" thick steel strap, 2" wide, for mounting the bumper, six points on frame

Required bolts (3/4" Grade 5 or Grade 8, or metric equivelants)

1/4" plate, for mounting winch.

It'll be around $200 in material for a prototype, but the material cost will be greatly reduced w/larger numbers. Sell them painted, or unpainted (powdercoating is the expensive part, I'd stay away from that, except as a special order, which will generally run the customer $150 extra! If group buys on powder coating, the price drops, as it's charged per lot, not per part). Labor will reduce w/larger volume too. It's still less time to build, than a Bull bar type bumper. Plus, EVERYONE makes bull bar bumpers! Dare to be different!
