Easter Utah? You talking about Moab? Now THAT is a circus I know pretty well :) LOL. The Colorado trip, if you're talking OURAY is a given. I was just thinking the trip along the border is someplace I havn't been yet. :) Course there's always a Mexico trip ...best to do that in a bunch but hella fun.

The Utah trip is Planned to start in the San Rafael Swell, traversing Eagle Canyon, Fix It Pass, Devils Race Track, Muddy Creek, Wedge Overlook and the Eva Connover trails. Moab takes a back seat on most of my Utah trips, and only gets done the last few days.(if at all) And, that would be the days after Easter for Moab. Its Silverton/ Ouray that Mitch is planning again. As far as south of the border....thats always in the planning process, but it does REQUIRE a group of COMMITTED individuals 1-2 years in advance. I want to do Copper Canyon first, and have everything needed. I am considering Thanksgiving after next, as we are doing Death Valley again next Thanksgiving, and I think I want another year to prepare. I tried to start a string recently on this if you search.

Hiyas guys, tho I'm located in Arkansas I'm interested in getting together with you guys for a trip or three :) Couple of questions, I see you're all running 33's, does anyone think the 31x10.50's on my lwb 90 would let me keep up? or are you guys doing mostly class 4 type trails?
You are more than welcome to join us for any of our rides. We are an equal opportunity bunch of idiots. concerning the 31’s vs. the 33’s. The long wheelbase is more likely to get caught on various obstacles with 31’s than it would with the 33’s. Mendel just recently put 33’s on his LWB, Upgrade from the 31’s. JohnnyB just recently ditched his 31’s for the 33’s on his SWB. I went straight to 33’s from the 235 stock size. I would recommend the upgrade in general but more so for the LWB. However, it does not matter to us if you have 31’s or 33’s, you are still welcome to join us. The 33’s will make your ride a little more enjoyable.
When do you plan on coming to Arizona? You do realize we are in AZ and not AR?

Hey, guys, it's time to chime in about this run. Who's in for the Woodpecker Mine thing next weekend? I took three days off - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, (1-9, 10 & 11) so I'm all set. The Apache Junction crew is a maybe, but aren't they always? I'll be having to take some extra power steering fluid (leaking) and gear lube (leaking axle), but other than that, the Type R is in good shape.

In case anyone's interested, this Saturday (jan 3) the Vehicross guys are running Box and Coke ovens.. meet at the box canyon turn-off (railroad tracks north of Florence on 79) 9 AM saturday. Looks like it's going to be about 12+ vehicles, with a few VX's, a couple jeep rubicons, amigo, rodeo, trooper, and a toyota or two.

The Utah trip sounds great. I did the Ouray thing in 2002. That's a lot of fun. And I happened to be in Death Valley about a week after you were there. No wonder you picked that place. Wayyyyy Cool !

Where have you been, man? We could do a basic Saturday run. We could do a Saturday run, camp, Sunday run. Or we could go full bore with a Friday night after work night run, camp, Saturday run, camp, Sunday run. The full bore option could put us at a base camp of, say, Martinez Mine cabins, or the entrance to Box Canyon. What works for you? No one else has chimed in here so far...

JUST now got off the phone with LordTrunks: Auto-Mon's Raidero is running! They just happened to run into the guy that I bought the Type R from today at AutoZone, procured the original Mikuni from him, mounted it to Auto's truck, gassed it, and it started right up. They are thinking of a two-truck contingent for next weekend if all falls into place. BTW, LT still just needs some DDR memory to get back on line, just in case anyone has a stick laying around they aren't using...
No word from the following lately in regards to the January run: Monte3, Mendel, EricD, Eric Sottile. No word at all from the following in regards to anything: PoopTroop, NoShorts (so what if you sold?!), MattSport2000; et al. Time's a'wastin'.

I'm in dallas right now. I will check with my friends to see what days they are interested in. If they cannot go I will be open to Friday, camp, Saturday run and camp and come home sometime Sunday after a run or whatever. I'll be back Monday afternoon. I had spoken with Monte3 and he said he was in. I will call to confirm.
