Beer and a blanket covers about 80 per cent of expected post four wheeling activity, but I arrive loaded for contingencies. I need to stop by your work anyway, so I can bring the 4wd book, which has a lot of good pointers. Easy with that 'cherry' talk, though, or someone's liable to pack a canoe and some banjo music.

I'm still gonna give it a try to come on this trip - would be arriving late friday since the early saturday drive would just be too far.
Don't count me as a definite though! The week's not over and I'm still in California spending too much money and beating the hell out of my truck!
I'm giving my truck a good shakedown ... so far I've pulled Chris's longbed, crew cab dodge half ton pickup out of the mud twice and the snow three times. I haven't been stuck yet.
Pulling a truck 2,000 lbs heavier than mine out of thick mud, is damned hard.

Here's the latest I've heard. I talked to RD today and he's in for getting there later on Friday. Maybe EricD could contact to caravan, if also going. Monte3 and DGardn are heading out on Fri afternoon. I'm thinking of leaving Friday morning, and that would be a good thing for everybody, because this truck is S L O W going at times. Monte3 can attest to my camp-selecting abilities, but I can wait to set up a camp until others arrive. I have wood stakes to mark the trail. I'll paint the stakes white and draw an arrow on them with a fat black marker as to turns at junctions. And I'll throw in an "M" just for good measure. GPS-wise, set destination as N32 45.07, W110 28.62, which is the junction of the starting trail, known as Copper Creek Rd and the Sibley Mansion trail. As mentioned earlier, there should be good spots there. The first trail starts in Mammoth, AZ itself. How about CB channel 1 and FRS channel 8? Sound O.K?

Do Nextel radios work out there?
I want to leave in the afternoon. Can I follow somebody?
I think I am going to bring some beer also. Is that O.K.?

OnSail, are you in here? We still o.k. for the 14th at your place?
RD, let's see, it's going to be 90 during the day and 50 at night. I'd say beer is definitely alright (at camp). I'm bringing mine. As far as Nextel goes, I haven't picked one of those up yet.
How's the AttackMe Junkyard crew doing with the diesel? Any chance for an appearance between jobs? Anybody else????

Anyone have a link to info about this trail?
Gotta find me a 33" spare sometime this week, too

Not really a trail report but more about the area in general.

Yeah, I'm going to hook up w/ Dave and run down mid afternoon on Fri. Beer is good. Eric, as far as a spare goes, I've got one if you don't get a chance to pick one up. Just let me know. Later, Paul

Paul - you've got an extra 33 that's "spare worthy" ?
I'd be happy to take it off your hands, how much do you want for it?
Are you bringing the Gen1 or the Gen2 this weekend?
BTW - thanks again for selling me those black rims!! I couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect fit!! ..... my list of future mods grows ever smaller
