We should talk about this. I have commitments that prevent me from camping on Saturday night. However, I could do Friday night. Could people get off work early on Friday and head down before dark? I have a lecture from 11-12 but could leave work right after that. In looking at the distance from Phoenix to Mammoth, leaving Saturday morning would make it a very long day.

So how many people would be able to leave work early and camp-out on Friday night?

Well, Luck O' The Irish, I requested that Friday off too. I can do this too! I was even considering doing that even if I didn't have any takers.

That would be the way to go, if enough of us could manage it. Hopefully, I could leave town around 1 p.m. or so.

I'm not trying to avoid the best group of 'wheelers online and in the dirt! (maybe not the most hardcore... but what's that got to do with it?? [Smile] )

I've got a big bunch of things that've hit me all at once, some good, most bad. Most of the bad is nearly over so we'll see how this all goes.

I know I won't be able to get out of work Friday because all of my vacation time this year is spoken for between wheeling, weddings (friends) and Burning Man later in the year. - but don't let me affect everyone else's plans.

As of right now, I don't even know if my truck will be street legal by then [Mad] [Mad] [Mad]

If it is a Friday and Saturday, I might be able to attend. [Cool]

I have a game on Sunday that I can't miss.

LT and Auto-Mon, I have those two small tents you can use, and I'm confident you can come up with the rest of your own survival gear. That means 'Leatherman,' of course, and nothing else. And as fot that pesky new diesel of you'rn, I'll bring the wire cutters and we'll go at it --Lloyd style!

We have to try to have some slack time to set up some pictures and video, which with this cast could be pretty funny. I hope this trail isn't some bunny slope; rated 7...ha! OnSail might not even have to winch on me or RD!

Any others able to respond here? Even if you can't go, let us know if you have other ideas. And for the rest of you lurking from other climates, all I can say is "don't move here, you'll really not like like it." But the Phoenix area crowd would have a good time, and I'm happy to see the response so far.

LT, you have to e-mail me. I'm thinking I will be there from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon, as long as someone wants to come out on Saturday, which may work for those who can't camp out Fri night. Here's what RD, and others may want to know: DGardn is getting us, ultimately, to Sibley Mansion, off a difficult trail, rated a 7inour Backcountry Adventures book. That trail is only 8 miles, round trip, with another spur included in the mileage. The book says allow three hours. But before one gets to that fun part, he must drive on a 2-rated trail for about 10 miles/one hour, and where the 'Mansion trail breaks off, there figures to be a right nice campin' place for us Mitsu (And Dodge Raider!) fans. And tons of mines real close. And how busy could the area be? It's an hour east of the metropolis of Mammoth, AZ, which is 120 miles from Phoenix! And by getting to the area before dark on Friday, there should be some decent spots to set up and to still be able to make it obvious to anyone on the trail where to go. So, if you you want to make it in on the easier road and ride with someone else for the Mansion run, please accept the invitation. I can take one person, maybe some LWB folks could take more? By the way, where did you get the picture, DG?

I can do the Friday and Saturday thing. What do I need to bring. As you know I am a virgin and I am fond of my cherry [Baby]

Anybody want to give me a checklist. [Confused]
