4g54 Head on E bay. Anyone with any experience?
      #1268167 - 08/20/12 04:48 PM

I just purchased on of these:

NEW MITSUBISHI/STARION/CONQUEST 2.6 CYLINDER HEAD
MECHANICAL OR HYDRAULIC ROCKERS NON JET HEAD 5YR WAR

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-MITSUBISHI-S...#ht_2646wt_1185

It should ship by the end of the week. Price was great.
Has anyone else done any business with these fellas?

I prefer the hydraulic version, because I'm lazy and and don't like to readjust valve lash. Otherwise an excellent choice. Many here have used them. I recall one complaint, which I believe Clearwater resolved, after some persuasion.

the one shown has mechanical valve lash adjustment. The stocker has hydraulic lash adjusters = less maintenance. It is complete. You should cancel your order and get one.

In the post they specify "MECHANICAL OR HYDRAULIC ROCKERS NON JET HEAD 5YR WAR" and before I paid I made sure they were shipping hydraulic. Thanks for your help.

Too expensive to hire out, too tricky for a novice. Not a lot of gains anyway on a carb motor. The most you want to do is use a dremel tool to clean up any casting flash in the ports, and DO NOT touch the short lower radius.

Not a lot of gains is correct. A friend did this to his Plymouth Arrow pickup (anyone remember those?)back in ... 88 and it didn't do anything noticeable Now the fabricated side draft manifold and Weber DCOE carburetor, and bumping the compression up to something silly really woke the thing up.
