Super Cool Amigo
      #1267475 - 07/29/12 08:08 PM

My 4x4 club had a Show and Shine today. Wouldn't you know it, the first rig to show up was an '89 Amigo, with a pristine black paint job. However, the really cool thing it had was a SBC and a 700R4. Behind the 700R4 was a Toyota t-case.

Tomorrow after I get some rest I will post up a couple of pictures.

SBC = Small Block Chevy

700R4 = non computerized 4 speed automatic (overdrive)

This is pretty much the staple of v8 transplants. Compact, powerful, and super easy to run...

Sorry - SBC indicates Small Block Chevy. It could be anything (technically) from a 283 to a 350. In this case, it was a 350.

Sounds like a nice setup... but is it still an Isuzu after the engine, trans and t-case swap? Asked by someone who still has a 3.1 GM engine in their truck. Not for longh though.
