When you install an IFS gear box in an '84 -'85 p/u what is done with the steering shaft. Do I need one from the IFS donor or can I use my '84's? -- Matt

Use your existing one matts. My 85 shaft does just fine.

I'm trying to get a new frame in the next couple of weeks. It will need cleaning up and painting, but I am excited to be able to fully rebuild the suspension, the fuel and brake lines, body mounts and the steering without a body to get in the way. I am pretty sure I will mount an IFS steering box and install a ZUK style crossover setup as part of the project. -- Matt

test..

wow....old thread....almost 4 years old. Staceman will be chiming in this week and post some pics of his cross-over. Should have done that 4 years ago :) Even though the title is about ZUK coils it's funny how Stace and I hi-jacked it :) but that's ok.

Here's a shot looking at it from a different view...

I have to chuckle at your apology about not washing. Here in the rust belt we dream of the last time our trucks looked as good; like twenty-some years ago

Great old thread! Zuk's a golden wrench. I'm gonna add it to my personal archive (when I start it --Matt
