It was going on in the previous administration. Was he wanting to take our guns back then?
You do know that statement is some Bullcrap leftist "WELL THEY WERE DOING IT FIRST" statement right?
There are SEVERAL Key differences in the 2 programs.
#1 40 guns were sent out #2 they had tracking devices IN them. #3 they had people that were actively trying to track them. #4 when they saw that it was a bad idea, the stopped.

AND to answer your question about bush wanting to take our guns... Yeah dude... He was TOTALLY prepared to sign the 1994 AWB into law when it sunsetted in 2004.
GWB Quote:
BUSH: I did think we ought to extend the assault weapons ban and was told the bill was never going to move.
The folks in his admin. had to slap him in the face to stay away from it.

There are so many unanswered questions about this operation that I think everyone should know. Nothing classified with national security at risk in this operation. I just want to know who ordered what to be done over the span of time the operation was in place. Don't care what administration was in charge.
I find it difficult/impossible too believe that this operation was run with only the lowest ranking ATF officers having any knowledge of it or it's purpose and results.
I do not care for stonewalling or executive privilege in cases like this. The public deserves nothing less than full disclosure in this scenario. Like I said earlier the alarming thing I see is the acceptance of the major news media has for allowing this secrecy to happen without hammering them for it. People have died as a result of this operation and NO one is being held accountable!
