Movie Montero: Spotted one in a Jackie Chan movie
      #1265911 - 06/19/12 07:43 PM

I spotted a Gen1 in the Jackie Chan movie "Operation Condor" last night. Very funny movie, and the Monty in it was plastic'd up pretty good for the role, you could hardly tell it was a Montero except for its huge "Mitsubishi" on the front.

Cool movie if you get a chance. Any other movies where Monty's have a big role?

Spotted a lwb Pajero 3000 turbo (diesel?) in "Rebirth of Mothra" Toho Productions1996. Just looked again and there are actually two in the same shot at the beginning.

There's a commercial that aired quite frequently about three or four months ago (I've seen it more recently, too, but not as often) that featured a pile of junk vehicles in the background. Right in the middle of the pile was a red Gen I SWB. One of my kids spotted it first.

I'm trying to remember what the commercial was for, but most TV advertising is wasted on me so I can't. I'll see if the boys can remember and update.

Wasn't that a commercial for the Cash for Clunkers debacle? I think it was discussed on here...

Nah. I believe it might have been a Subie commercial, come to think of it.

I think the Serbian general in 'Behind The Enemy Lines' had a Montero ride too, if I remember correctly, it was a Gen II.
