      #1265818 - 06/18/12 03:36 PM

Are Mitsubishi Pajero diesel 4x4 SUV s sold in Canada? I was introduced to this model in RSA in 2011 and would appreciate as much info as I can get. Thanx for all and any input. MTG

Sorry to tell you, no diesel Montero/Pajero sold as new in Canada. We are able to import used (usually from Japan) but to satisfy gov`t they must be 15 years old. Hope this helps.

In Canada we got, in order, the 86-89 Dodge Raider (2.6 and 3.0V6 gas models), and saw no other official Monteros/Pajeros until 2003, with the genIII Montero, which was sold here with a 3.5 or 3.8LV6 gas engine till 2007, when we lost it again.

The only diesels on our shores have come from grey market Pajero imports, courtesy of Japan's domestic market, and only after they've turned 15 years old. Any newer, and they are not eligible to be registered, licensed, etc. The newest that can be imported at the moment then, is a 1997 model.

Hope this helps?
