Its been a few years since I sold my '77 CJ and I am looking at a 90 YJ and thinking of making the plunge. Looks like things have changed around here unless I am too retarded to find it. What happened to all the Jeep categories? There usta be sections for each model. The website owners streamlining everything?

There was some streamlining of menus after a system hack. However, the historic information is still available via site search.

The site does have additional information outside the forums about jeeps. Follow the menu links or do a site search...

I forget if the 90 had fuel injection or not.. I sure advise thinking about a fuelie..

Hey Jim, was wondering if you were still around! No the 90 is still carbed but it has a Weber on it. This one at least has more going for it than the 77 did in the beginning. Its got about 4" of lift, big Bushwacker flares, OR style short bumpers, nerf bars, drive train is tight, brakes good. I am thinking it has a distributor issue per what the former owner was explaining, may be worse. One broken intake bolt that will be a PITA, clutch hydraulics. Changing out every fluid. Lotsa little easy tedious stuff that I am good at, eventually new paint, tires, top and seats. Yeah I am a glutton for punishment! Got it for $1500, figure I can part it out if nothing less!

Still have my '85 Vette, mostly been hanging over on that Forum. Jeeps just under my skin and in my heart still!

Look forward to yackin with ya, look for a PM

Intake bolts usually unscrew by fingers.. The strech in the bolt is in the manifold and most break there.. Many times there is enough sticking out of the head to get a grip on.
The weber is the best for that engine. Them old ford carbs can be a real pain.
