Already got the alarm installed as you see. What a crazy addiction. Anybody ever switch a plow from a 87 2.6 to a 89 V-6? Seems like a lot more electrical doo-dads under the hood.Hey but less vacuum lines. May have a 87 2.6, fresh overhaul up for sale soon. What do you think? METALMOVER

Hey....looks unbeliveably stock! Great find! How much did it cost ya?
I transfered a 4ft Meyers plow from my 87 4banger to my 89 V6....the plow frame bolt pattern does not match up with the 89 front end and you will have to lose the front end skid plate.....but I did it.

By the way its my plates on there, Im in the automotive industry, I got it for $2500 bucks delivered 200 miles.Im planning on removing the whole front bumper with the plow hydraulics attached to it and putting it on the 89. The 4 banger plowed well cant wait to test the 6, and a auto, kinda of pain trying to plow and shift. You guys in az wouldnt get it. Im lucky enough to have 20 awesome automotive surgeons above me, however they all cringe when I bring in my vintage(POS)autos.I wonder if the 87 4 banger bumper is the same as a 89, appears to be by the naked eye. Sure its a half inch off.And the dog hates the cold gotta let the truck warm up for him first. Bad ass Dobermans METALMOVER

Ah yes.....the snow plow swap challange...it's coming back now. I too thought to just swap whole bumper systems, but the OEM mounting holes didn't match up! Looks like it will, but it didn't! Houston, we have a problem! So out came the power drill - problem solved!

No reason to leave links...
I've had no issues moving front bumpers between 4- and 6-cyl models. The outside to outside distances are the same between all the Gen I frames I've measured. The inside to inside measurements are different due to the reinforcements used for the winch plate mounts. Rear bumpers have different mounting plates.
