I found this by accident today, falls under our 25year rule for import assuming it's really an '86. Only 77,000kms (little less than 48k miles) Pajero

If only i had the money.

Very cool. I think I would be more interested in the 4 door 1988 Pajero with 137,000 kilometers (88K miles). It may still pass the 25 year rule depending on the build date.

The seat and door panel fabric was used through early 86 on the USDM Mistus. Winch, skinny bumpers and those cool mirrors!

I believe that the 25 year rule uses model year, not build date. Could be wrong.

Plus shipping... Around $1500.00 additional. Looks clean though, and you wouldn't see another often, if ever.

Wonder if that is a factory PTO winch??? I know the second Gen had a PTO winch option (they have it in the user manual), although I've never seen one. What engine did that have, a naturally aspirated 4D55??

I really like the wheels on the 4 door. Does anyone have any info on those? I also kinda like the baby step below the rear bumper.

Crazy. Looks like the same site a Canadian friend of mine uses to look for cool cars. (He's friends with the folks at RightDrive.ca)
Once upon a time, he showed me a '73 Mitsubishi Minica that sold for less than US$1000. Looked like a cross between a fist gen Civic (CVCC) and an original Mini Cooper. Probably gets 60mpg, too.
(sigh)

A LOT of JDM's have aftermarket wheels on them. Many are two piece units, with fancy screws going all the way around (like those in the pic). The factory wheel is on the back, but heaven only knows which aftermarket wheels are on there...? The step below the rear bumper was a factory piece on four doors. My genII had one as well, but I had to remove it to mount my hitch.
Up here, we have to go to the month of build date, as stamped on the door - for example, my Evo was built in October of 1996, so I couldn't land it till October 1st of 2011 at the very earliest (we have the 15 year rule). If I tried to bring it in any earlier, it would be impounded, and I'd have to either have it sent back, or have it crushed... The build date does come up in the Japanese version of the CAPs program, as long as you have the full 10 digit chassis number.
