I had a first generation Scion xB. Not too exciting. I bought it new in 2004 and put 155K on it for work, mostly. I decided to get something else.
It's a '12 Camaro LS, the base model, no options besides floor mats. Six speed manual. It runs.

I was going more on about the transport ship of the band "Danger Zone" from Hitchhiker's Guide...and how Arthur Dent describes it.

Excellent! I was thinking the same thing! Helps that I was watching the old TV series (all 6ish episodes), as well as Red Dwarf. Good stuff.

Nice car, JBP. I'll wager you'll enjoy that very much. And, a 6-speed too? Mighty fine choice.
Since we're tossing out musical reminders, how 'bout THIS one from the boys in Purple or, perhaps, THIS from the same guys.

Johnny's possie is on Broadway....
So what are your thoughts on this thing? Hows it working out? V6 fast enough?
I've been lusting after one of those retro Dodge Challengers but probably get the R/T manual trans with the smaller hemi..not as quick as the Camaro but its big, slow powerfull like me It's between that and a newish bass boat...Decisions decisions..

Justice, I've been looking at your fishing pictures on Facebook. You are killin' me, man! Although I'm not a seafood person, I do like to fish and you are in a great place to let the lures fly.
As far as the V-6 goes, OMG...the thing is rippin'. You do have to keep the revs on the boil, but there's no disappointment. I got 26.5 mpg on a 421 mile trip a couple of weeks ago, and the thing catches some tire squeal in 1-2 and 2-3 upshifts. Mods are coming for the LFX engine (new designation for '12; previous version was known as the LLT) that can push it near 400 hp without forced induction, at least when hotter cams become available.
I'm impressed with the enthusiasm some vendors have shown jumping in on both engine and suspension mods, particularly Pedders, who has a multi-part write-up on their web site regarding a step-by-step process that can really transform this already very well-built machine.
The car comes with a very substantial standard equipment list. Even as a base level car, I want for nothing.
At least with a Challenger, you can use the back seat. I wouldn't force anyone into the so-called back seat of a new Camaro, unless they were foreign combatants. That might just reform them, it's that bad. I use it for work samples, etc., and no one will ever ride back there.
